I wonder what does that article mean? Hmm...... Maybe you want to shed some lights?

Wet Lunar New Year?

These few days, there have been alot of downpour. And Lunar New Year is just barely four days away. Now it makes me wonder, are we going to have a wet Lunar New Year for this Rabbit year? Will the rain continue till Lunar New Year period? Is this rainwater going to bring us a lot of wealth? Or will this wet Lunar New Year lead us to the opposite effect of last year?

As for last year 2009, the year of Tiger, I still can remember clearly that the Lunar New Year period was hot and dry! And Tiger year brought us a lot of surprises such as heavy downpour during our so called "Summer" period and flooded our Orchard road. Apart from that, we also witnessed so floodings in many countries.

So I hope that this wet Lunar New Year will not lead to drought during our Summer period, if not, I really can't imagine what is going to happen next. But I do hope that the rainfall will us alot of wealth. And I would like to take this opportunity to wish all my readers A Happy Lunar New Year, hope that Rabbit year will bring you tons of good luck and wealth!

Thing that you may want to watch out for..... (Part 6)

In this last part of 6-part series, thing that you may want to watch out for is cooling tower. I know some of you may not know what is cooling tower. Not to worry, I will not confuse you with a lot of technical terms here.

Cooling tower is part of air-conditioning system which is normally used in commerical buildings. Cooling tower - as the name has suggested is a tower installed with a big fan to cool the pool of condenser water that goes through this tower.

As the condenser water is used in a recycled process, thus this process must be properly treated. In the event that condenser water are left untreated, it may lead to alot of complicated issues which may arise later on.

When a cooling tower is in operation, usually it will generate alot of noises. So if you are a person who like to live in a quiet environment, I bet you will not want to live near to a cooling tower!

On this note, I will end my 6-part series on 'Thing that you may want to watch out for' here. Hope that you will find the information useful to you. If you have any feedback, please feel free to drop me a message or email.

Thank you. Do stay tuned in my blog, I will bring more good stuffs soon...

Thing that you may want to watch out for..... (Part 5)

In this part 5 of 6-part series, thing that you may want to watch out for is exhaust duct.
Recently, I visited one particular unit, which is located on top of a exhaust duct. When I was there, I could smell of cooked food blowing out from the exhaust duct despite that unit is located at mid floor.
It may smell nice at that point of time, but I would not want my clean clothings or my house to smell like a restaurant! Not only that, the exhaust fume may contain oily residues which may invite unwanted guests such as cockroaches or rats to the house.
So if you happen to encounter a unit that is located above the exhaust duct, you may want to pay more attention to the wind direction as well. Good luck in your house selection!

Thing that you may want to watch out for..... (Part 4)

In this part 4 of 6-part series, thing that you may want to watch out for is lift. Having a lift right in front of your doorstep may sound convenient. But in Fengshui approach, having a lift facing your door is just like having a mouth opening and closing in front of you! Thus, in fengshui, it deemed to be inauspicious.

If we put fengshui aside, having a lift in front of your doorstep, what are things to expect are:

1. Sounds of lift door opening and closing
2. Lift breakdown alarm

If you are choosing your next property, you may want to pay attention to the lift location! Good luck!

Thing that you may want to watch out for..... (Part 3)

In this part 3 of 6-part series, thing that you may want to watch out for is your house roof if your unit is located at the highest floor.

You may want to take note of the followings if you are planning to buy the highest floor:

1. Check if there is any water tank on top
2. Good water-proofing system

Below is a photo which I took recently, this building is more than 10 years old but look at the roof of this particular unit, there are signs of water leaking from the roof. So having a leaking roof over your head is something which you may want to avoid! Good luck in your house hunting!

Thing that you may want to watch out for..... (Part 2)

In this part 2 of 6-part series, thing that you may want to watch out for is drain. Be is a small drain or a moonsoon drain. If there is a drain around your property, you may want to take note on how the water flows - direction.

In Fengshui water theory, it is believed that the direction of water flow can affect your wealth. Having the water flowing towards your property is better than water flowing out from your property. But wait, this is based on assumption that the drain is big enough to hold the water. Imagine this; if the drain, which is close to your property, is not able to hold the water? Well, most likely you will get floods! And flooding may lead to property damage! Thus, your wealth will be indirectly affected!

Apart from flooding, what are things which you can think of - that a drain may bring? Well, smell and pollution. Yes, drain water can bring smell and pollution issue if not properly maintained. On this note, I would like to urge everyone to take good care of our drains so that such smell and pollution problems will not arise.

So before your next property purchase, you may want to pay more attention on its surrounding. Spend more time walking around the property area first, this will save you alot of troubles in the future. Good luck!

Thing that you may want to watch out for..... (Part 1)

First, I would like to say Happy New Year to all! Hope that last year was a fruitful year for you. And I hope that this year will be even a better year for you!

Of late, property sector has been in the limelight because property prices keep rising and that does not stop any one from buying new property at new launches. Since property is something which the whole town is talking about. Now, let me share with you what are the things that you may want to watch for before buying a property. In this 6-part series, you will get to see photos of things that I would watch out for.
Here is the first one.....

Construction site.

Having a construction site around your property may somehow affect you. And this depend on how close the construction site is and where it is located. Putting Fengshui aside, you may find that noise generated from such site may affect your daily life as well. Apart from that, you may find alot of dusts around you which requires you to do more cleaning than usual.

So if you are planning to buy a property which is close to construction site, you may want to take note on the above-mentioned issues before you sign the Option to purchase.

Good luck! Do stay tuned for part 2 on Things that you may want to watch out for.
