Ming Tang 明堂

In Yang Zhai fengshui 阳宅风水, you may have heard of Ming Tang 明堂。This refers to the space (ground) in front of your main door or a place's facing.

An ideal fengshui would be a big space which is clear of obstacles such as lamp post or tree, right in front of main door or facing. The photo below is an example.

If using flying stars theory, if a house's facing is suitable to face water. And if there is reservoir or swimming pool or a pond in front of the house, the occupants of the house will enjoy good fengshui.

Is it okay to live near to power sub-station?

A Unit that is located behind the power sub-station.
Quite a big power sub-station
Another unit is located on the opposite of power sub-station

Another common question which friends and clients like to ask me is," It is okay to be live near to a power sub-station?".

Fengshui aside, I personally would choose to avoid to live near such places. Reasons are as follows: I am worried that electro-magnetic flux that may generate from such sub-stations. If so, I wonder would this cause health-related problems? Maybe someone can clear my doubts?

Apart from that, living near to such places, I may face a greater risk of having safety-hazard related issues.

So if I have a choice, I would choose to avoid.

Uneven Surfaces

I ever seen some houses' entrance with creative floor designs, they used natural materials such as uneven rock-alike surface tiles and unpolished pebbles to place it before their doors or after the doors. Is so unique!

And I have to agree that such designs really make the house more appealing, especially if the designs can give you the feeling of relaxation. However, in fengshui, uneven surface or rough surface can create fengshui issues. After all, our main door is the entrance for Qi , a good Qi can be affected by such uneven surfaces.

In some fengshui books, they stated that uneven surfaces are considered inauspicious. And is better to avoid living near to such uneven surface.

One of the most common questions

Sometimes when I go house hunting with friends or clients, one of the most common questions that they would ask is," How is the house fengshui that is near to a rubbish collection centre?".

Let's put fengshui aside, maybe we look into another angle of view, hygiene. Having a house that is near to a rubbish collection centre, the possibilities of breathing the unpleasant smell are higher than people who live further away from the collection centre.

I have to praise that our collection centre are well-managed and well-kept here, however there are things such as wind strength (speed) and wind direction are beyond our control. So when the collection centre are in the process of transferring the rubbish into the rubbish collection vehicles and if the wind starts to pick up some speed and it changes direction towards you, chances are you cannot avoid smelling the unpleasant smell unless you have a carbon mask with you or having a blocked nose.

Having saying that, let's take another example, imagine that you and your family is about to start the dinner in dining hall, then suddenly you smell something unpleasant, will you continue to eat? Or the unpleasant smell has affected your mood?
Do you think those units are near to the rubbish collection centre?

Rich = fat fingers

Recently, I spoke to some bosses (bosses as in they run their own business). I noticed that these bosses tend to have thick fingers, or should I re-phrase as fat fingers? Or fuller fingers?

I have not learned the art of palmistry yet. But I ever heard someone from metaphysics group said that richer people tend to have thick fingers. Maybe I will verify this sometime later. But I also noted that those bosses that I spoke to, apart from having thick fingers, their nose also tend to be bigger and fuller minus the nostril exposed.

Yesterday evening, I got a chance to see a very rich broker, he drives the latest BMW model.. His fingers were thick and his nose was big, filled with flesh. So maybe that explains why he is destined to be loaded?

Water Feature

This morning, I received a sms from a friend, he requested me to go to his office to see his new water feature, he just started another new business venture; selling water features. His office unit was fengshui and selected by me after we went through a few places to hunt for a right unit early this year. As I do not have any appointment this morning, I replied him okay.

20 minutes later, my friend was ready to pick me up. I quickly grab my compass and my PDA to meet him. While we were on the way to his office, I asked him how was his engineering business for this year. He told me that this year was rather a lucky year for him, I was glad to hear that. Before he shifted to this present unit, business was rather slow. I ever visited his old office a couple of times, the fengshui in the old office was rather inferior.

His new office is pretty near to my place, is about 5min drive to his office. When we reached his office and the moment I stepped into his office, I was welcomed by the sounds of gushing water, it was rather a pleasant sound. I always enjoy the sound of water, and I always wanted to get one water feature for my house to replace my existing old fish tank.

His water feature is rather big, is like a small pond with two artificial walls on 2 sides of the pond. One side of the walls has water outlet that allow water to gush out and flow into the pond of water. Right in the centre of pond is a standing bowl, water is pumped up to this bowl, making the water in the bowl to ripple. Is very nice water feature, which look like real stones even though the water feature is made of fibreglass material. The price of this water feature is so much cheaper than those water features that are made of real stones.

Well , if you are interested to get one water feature. Maybe you can contact me, I may able to get some discounts for you. Here are some of the photos which I took this morning for you to view.
