Our unique place of interest

Guess alot of us did not know that we have such an unique place of interest in Singapore. That is Johore Battery, this place was not known to many of us in the early days, it was re-discovered by Singapore Prison Department in 1991.

Johore battery was built by Bristish in 1939 and was used to defend our homeland. Is an interesting site to visit. Free admission.

Great view

This is my first time in Orchard Central, did not know that they have such a great viewing place for shoppers; to see the whole Orchard Road. Is a great view. I suppose, the night view will be great too!

Lie Detector - How it got a DJ into trouble

Just read the news from asia1, the popular DJ, in Australia radio station, got himself into hot soup after using the Lie Detector. He was trying to find out the truth from a young lady. As for the full details, click on the asia1 link to find out more.

Not all durians can be eaten!

Just got to know that not all durians can be eaten. Saw this notice at one of reserves.

A closer look on the notice, it says," This species of 'Durian' is inedible!" Wow, did not know about this it. But did you know that fruits can be classified as Yin and Yang? Yin means the fruits have cooling effect while Yang means that the fruits are very heaty.

Durians and Longan are known as Yang (Heaty) fruits. While mangosteens are known as Yin (cooling) fruit. So that's explain why people always say after eating Durains must eat mangosteen, this will balance your body so that one will not suffer heatiness after consuming too much of heaty fruits.

Climbing up the stairs were not as easy task for me... Climbing down was neither easy, almost puke after coming down.
