Black Wednesday

This morning, I reached office about quarter to 9am. I saw all my colleagues were standing outside the office, it was an unusual sight. Normally at that timing, every of us would be busy sorting out things to do for the day.

When I got nearer to my colleagues, I asked them what was so interesting that made them stand outside the office? They replied that there was no power supply to our office unit. And there was no power supply to our neighbours too. I felt relieved when I heard that we were not the one affected by the power failure, initially I thought it was our admin staff has forgotten to pay the electricity bill! Luckily, it was not that we had forgotten to pay the electricity bill. The power failure was caused by the tripping of Main Electrical Breaker at the landlord's electrical switchroom.

Total darkness

Anyway, it was too hot to stand outside the office, I chose to go inside the office. Usually for such a power failure, it would not take them very long to resume the power supply. But I was wrong, after waited for 10 minutes, nothing happened and the power supply seemed to be not restored.

Curiosity caught hold of me, I switched on my PDA and formed the Qi Men Dun Jia Chart. Chart showed that it would take very long. True enough, power supply was resumed at 1032am! It was an hour and 45min wait.

Five Elements

The main entrance of this door is facing South. Using Gua, south is represented by Fire element. In this case, the blue carpet seems to be inappropriate because blue is considered water in Chinese Metaphysics - five elements (Metal, Water, Wood, Fire and Earth). As we know, fire and water clash. Water will put off the fire, having such a configuration could upset the fengshui.

The lucky thing is that this entrance is made up of the 5 elements; Metal, Water, Wood, Fire and Earth. The business for this company has become so much better, after the introduction of the remaining elements to blue carpet.

Observe the 2 photos closely, for the 5 elements.

Surprise! Surprise!

Of late, I have been receiving "surprise" news. Friends left their beloved career, which I never thought they would.

I have seen the way how they worked, their passion for their works were beyond words that could describe. They were those employees that would work till wee hours just to get things done!

Surprises, surprises, surprises.... When I was told that they have left.... "Why they left?", I asked myself. Did not get the chance to talk to all of them, maybe one day when I have the chance to meet them again. I will ask them why the sudden decision to leave?

Is a pity that they have left, now the whole team is left with fewer committed people around. Sad to say, my fighting spirit is dampen for the time being.

Henderson Waves

You may have visited the Waves Rocks in Perth, Australia. But have you visited our local waves? "What waves?", you asked. Well, is the newly opened bridge which connects from Mount Faber Park to Kent Ridge Park (Known as Southern Ridges). If you start from one point to another point, you will be crossing at least 2 bridges, one is known as Alexandra Arch, another one is known as Henderson Waves.

That is Henderson Waves.. .the starting point before the bridge.
Read abit on the Southern Ridges.
Beautiful bridge! Lovely wood.
Waves....Not waves rock, is Henderson Waves! Our own local waves.
Tired? You can rest at any of the shelters. Nice shelter too!
Check it out.... Sea View! On the oppsite side of this bridge, you will get to see the city view. Will be going back there at night to view the city lights..

Just one word to describe....is beautiful. View to believe.

Learning Bazi

Bazi, also known as 4 pillars, is a set of information obtained from your date of birth and birth time.

Did you know that learning bazi could help you to understand yourself or others better? For example, if you have a friend who tend to blow his temper easily. Maybe his bazi is consisted alot of fire element or he belong to a fire element person.

Give you another example, if you have a friend who have tried all means to reduce weight yet to no avail. You may want to check his bazi whether he has a lot of shi shen (食神)in his bazi? (Shi Shen belongs to one of ten gods in bazi methodology).

Bazi can tell you alot of other information such as a person's current luck cycle, relationship with family and friends, career, character, health and many more. So learning bazi can be beneficial.

Toilet

Recently, I was at my client's new office; the new office was still under construction. That day happened to be a site show round for the managers whom would be moving there. I overheard one of the managers kept asking his colleagues, "Where is the toilet?" It seemed like he was very concerned about the location of the toilet.

In my heart, I knew that the manager must be a fengshui-believer. In fact, I must say that he did the right thing to ask for toilet location. I could sense that he would be the person to ask for a change of his seating location if toilet is too near to his new office seat. In case, you are wondering, his new seat is not near to any toilets.

So why would toilets have such adverse effect? Let me relate this story to you:

A few years back, one of my clients shared with me about his office layout, he told me that everytimes when a newly employed accountant move into that office room which was located next to a toilet. The new accountant would never stay in the job for more than 3 months! And this "phenomenon" continued until one of the employed accountant who knew a fair bit of fengshui requested to be seated in some other location. And that accountant stayed the longest in that job, amongst the rest of employed accountants.
