One of the most common questions

Sometimes when I go house hunting with friends or clients, one of the most common questions that they would ask is," How is the house fengshui that is near to a rubbish collection centre?".

Let's put fengshui aside, maybe we look into another angle of view, hygiene. Having a house that is near to a rubbish collection centre, the possibilities of breathing the unpleasant smell are higher than people who live further away from the collection centre.

I have to praise that our collection centre are well-managed and well-kept here, however there are things such as wind strength (speed) and wind direction are beyond our control. So when the collection centre are in the process of transferring the rubbish into the rubbish collection vehicles and if the wind starts to pick up some speed and it changes direction towards you, chances are you cannot avoid smelling the unpleasant smell unless you have a carbon mask with you or having a blocked nose.

Having saying that, let's take another example, imagine that you and your family is about to start the dinner in dining hall, then suddenly you smell something unpleasant, will you continue to eat? Or the unpleasant smell has affected your mood?
Do you think those units are near to the rubbish collection centre?
