Rainbow!
Some of the rainbow photos which I took yesterday evening.
Yesterday rainbow was a full rainbow, or rather a semi-circle shaped rainbow, which started from one side and touched the opposite side. Guess everybody was quite happy to see such a beautiful rainbow after such a heavy downpour. On that note, let's hope that our economy can recover fast just like yesterday heavy downpour and surprised us with a beautiful rainbow.

Q & A
Some of the common questions which people asked me. Here they are :
A : There are alot of website which provide such free service, just do a google search on it.
Q : How to determine the correct element (day master)? Using year of birth?
A : Day master is determined from day pillar, not from year pillar. Alot of people got it mixed up with the year element.
Q : Why are there 2 elements on a day?
A : Every other day is made of 2 elements, it can be same element or it can be different element. The top portion is Tian Gan 天干 a.k.a Heavenly Stem, while lower portion is Di Zhi 地支 a.k.a Earthly Branches.
Q : Can I just pick up a birth date for a baby, just based on the element shown on that day?
A : Not adviseable to choose a birth date without understanding the whole bazi structure, is better to consult a professional Ming Li Shi, Master for a newborn date selection.
Q : When come to choosing a birth date for a baby, is there anything else to consider?
A : Yes, the gender of the baby and the Estimated Delivery Date (EDD in short)

Temples
Yesterday, a friend of mine brought me to few temples. To see some of the temples which are more than 100-year-old. Most importantly, to see how temples were built and appreciate the beauty of the temple. See photos to believe.

Tai Sui Wei - Not to be offended
Throughout my ten years of experience in construction, I have witnessed a few "incidents" related to fengshui. Incidents that I would not forget are; works that were carried out at Tai Sui wei - Grand Duke, would never complete smoothly, it seems like problems ranging from minor and major would just arise.
There is one particular incident which I want to share here; an electrical worker was tasked to do a simple cable termination work at one of the electrical distribution boards at basement. The simple work which was supposed to complete in 30mins time but was completed a few hours late!
And to make things worse, that electrical worker even tripped the whole distribution board and caused a blackout to the whole basement! I was curious why would a simple task would end up in such a mess, later I discovered that the work was carried out at Tai Sui wei. So that could be the reason that work ended up upside down!

Nice Songs by a young lady
This evening while I was driving back home, I tuned to my favourite radio station, the DJ was interviewing one Taiwanese singer - Joanna Wang, on her new album, "The Adult Storybook".
I have heard her lovely songs from her first album before, but that was without knowing who was the singer. Finally today, I got to know who she is. Anyway, here are some songs taken from youtube. Do enjoy!
Lost in Paradise from her first album, "Start from here".
And Times of your life from her second album.

Building shape
This photo was taken last year april while I was in Beijing attending fengshui convention. When the moment I saw the building shape, I could not figure out why was rational for them to choose such an unique shape design for building? Maybe that explains the proverbs of "One man's meat is another man's poison." ?
Anyway, when I took the picture, the building was still under construction. It was scheduled to be opened in October this year. But it looks like there will be a delay in the official opening now, this is due to last monday blaze, which was caused by illegal firework. In today's chinese newspaper, there was a report that master commented on the building structure and described the relationship between building shape and fengshui.
For more details on that report you can refer to Wan Bao dated 11 Feb 2009. Wish you happy research!

Wedding date
These few days, I have been busy looking for auspicious date for wedding. Usually, when come to wedding date selection, there are few factors to consider such as shortlisted date will it clash with bride and bridegroom's bazi. In addition, parents' year of birth also take into consideration. Also there are few lunar dates to be avoided.
Once the auspicious date is selected, the next challenging issue will be looking for venus to hold the wedding dinner. You will be suprised while trying to book the venus, the selected date can be so popular that the place that you want to book would have been fully booked. To avoid disappointment, is better to book the desired venus early.

Thaipumsam 2009
This is my first time in my life to attend Thaipusam, and I even had the chance to witness the process of pins and hooks going through the skin! I was so close to the Hindu devotees who were carrying the kavadis, something which I never even did dream of.
The process of carrying kavadis is a form of giving thanks to God Murugan as what Hindu believe. Usually Hindu would make a vow to offer a kavadi when a request to the God is fulfilled.

More people are consulting Geomancers
Two days ago, while I was reading the online news, I came across this article that reported more people are consulting Geomancers in the midst of bad times. Masters even confirmed that they had more people going to them.
Well, it seems like people want to ensure that their wealth are at least properly maintained and not flowing out, especially in our present situation. But there again, I have to inform you that fengshui is not a magic, so do not expect after fengshui service, things are going to work like magic.
It takes time for fengshui to work, the fastest time that it could take effect would be within 24 hours, sometimes it could be as long as 6 months period!
So if you feel that you need a fengshui service, start looking for one now!

"Wow, this is beautiful!", I exclaimed. That was how I reacted when I first saw this picture. Initially, I thought it was a photo but when I took a closer look, then I realised that it was an oil painting.

A 100-year-old Bodhi tree
Recently, I found a blog entry, it was about a 100-year-old Bodhi tree. In the blog, it mentioned that the Bodhi tree is located on a good fengshui location. So I did not want to miss out the opportunity to see this rare 100-year-old Bodhi tree, I got my friend to go along with me.
As my friend and I was about to enter the temple main entrance, there was a man standing right behind the entrance welcomed us. He even explained to us the temple origin and etc. I guess the man was either a temple helper or temple management staff. Anyway, we did not arrange any appointment with the temple management prior to our visit, we were rather surprised that the temple would provide such an "extra service".
After the man left us, another lady came and greeted us with 2 cups of plain water, she even brought us around the temple. Here are the photos on the temple:
Jin Long Si 金龙寺 , that is the name of the temple. Direct translation from Jin Long will be Golden Dragon.

The name on the metal plate looks rather unique from this angle.
