Beijing Day 5

Is Shopping again! This time we shopped at this place known as Silk Street 秀水街. It was a great place for shoppers who love to bargain for the sake of bargaining.

In fact, I bargain most of my souvenirs there. I even bought myself a wonderful silk costume , the starting price was from RMB 360, I bargain till RMB 120 (S$24) with the help of a friend. There was a group of Chinese, they were watching us bargaining. He asked me did I bargain for the sake of fun? Guess what I answered him? Well... my answer was YES! :)
Anyway, if you happen to visit this place. Just remember to bargain for the thing you want to purchase, the rule of the game is, the final price should be always 1/3 of the starting price. Give a try when you visit that place. Have fun then!

Beijing Story Starts here (Part 1)

Beijing welcomes you, I touched down Beijing Terminal 3 airport on 26 March 2008 early morning. The moment when I stepped out from the plane, I was greeted by cold air, the temperature was about 6 Deg C.

Master Yang, Master Huang and Fengshui Convention Chairperson were chatting outside the hotel, it was cold out there.
The group has grew bigger. It was 3 persons, now became 5 persons.

That was the hotel which I stayed. The hotel exterior.

There was nothing much to do on the first day of fengshui convention so I went around the area to see what were the places of interest.. Anyway the venus - Grand Epoch City was about 2 hours bus journey from the airport.

The red building in the background is another hotel located inside Grand Epoch City. That was the place for us to have our daily meals; breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Photo taken outside Grand Epoch City.. Entrance of Grand Epoch City.
Beautiful Ceiling, one of the linked walkways.
Another traditional Chinese theme hotel located in another part of Grand Epoch City.
Bright Red door, nice isn't it?

Nice hotels.
Welcome to Grand Epoch City.

Dragons!Bigger dragons! First talk conducted by Master Huang on the first night.
Night view of Grand Epoch City. It was so cold when I took this photo, the wind was strong and chilling, regretted that I did not bring enough winter wears for this trip!

Another photo of Grand Epoch City during night time.

Blood Donation Drive

This evening while I was watching TV programme, there was this advertisement on Blood Donation Drive Campaign trying to attract more people to come forward to donate blood. That was my second time to see that advertisement, the first time I saw that advertisement was a few days back. When the advertisement was aired, I was wondering whether more blood were required? As such advertisement was required?

For those who have not donated before, you may wondering is donating blood a painful experience? Well, donating blood is quite a painless process. And the whole process does not take you very long time to donate too. You need not have to worry about the blood withdrawn from our body because our body can reproduce those "lost" blood.

Therefore, I strongly urge people who are healthy should come forward to donate blood on a regular basis. It makes you feel good because you know that you are donating blood for a good cause. So save a lives, start your donation now.

If you want to donate blood, you can visit the following websites for more information:
http://www.hsa.gov.sg/publish/hsaportal/en/health_services/blood_donation/location.html
http://www.redcross.org.sg/serv_bdrp.htm

I will be heading to blood bank soon to contribute my 25th donation.
