Swine Flu

Everyday, newspaper and news will never fail to report the development of Swine Flu in every part of the world. Looks like this flu is going to out of hand soon?! So question is, will this flu as bad as SARS in 2003?

Well, last year when I wrote this year prediction. And during the process of analysis the 2009 Heavenly Stem and Earthly Branches, I noted that year 2009 Heavenly Stem had something similar to year 2003 Heavenly Stem. Both Heavenly Stems ended in same kind of stage which resulted me to write "Terminated illness" in my prediction, and to answer the above question, this flu will be as bad as SARS outbreak.

But there is one thing which I have yet to research, that is whether this outbreak will hit us here? Looking at it, is possible that we may be spare from this round of outbreak. But I have to make it clear that I have yet to do a full research on it. Whatever it is, I think prevention is something that we should not overlook it. So if you think that wear N95 mask is necessary, please do so. Prevention is always better than cure!

Outbreak - Swine Flu is on the rise

Take note, there is a new strain of flu is on the rise. This flu is rather deadly, so far there have been reported cases of death. Even though the reported cases of death does not happen here in Singapore. But in my own view, is better for us to be safe rather than be sorry.

If you can remember my earlier posting "Prediction for 2009", I did mention that terminated illness would rise. True enough, the outbreak on this new strain virus is hitting us real fast and hard!

My advise to my readers, do remember to drink more water and have more rest. If possible, try to avoid crowded area too! With such stringent measures in place, this will reduce your chances of catching the flu virus. Take care!

Is summer time!

Last few days, the weather was so hot that I thought I was under scorching sun even though I was not in outdoor envirnoment. The heat wave was simply driving me crazy! I never like hot weather, if given a choice to choose between a cool weather or hot weather, think I would have chose the former.
Just a couple of days back, the weather was too hot for me to handle. Hence, I went to hide myself under some shades whereby the temperature would be slightly lower and at the same time, I got to breath in some fresh air. So I did a bush walk at one of the reserviors.

It was an hour walk. Have to admit that the weather was very hot but under the shade, I felt alright.

Water collected and stored at reservoir, will our water level at reservoir dip? This summer sun is making us sweats....

Maybe this is the best time that we should take pro-active measurements such as learning how to save our water.

So that there will be no monkey business?

Charcoal

When you hear the word "Charcoal", what would be your first thought? Maybe your first thought on Charcoal would be a fuel that is used for barbecue.

Apart from that, did you know that word "Charcoal" is used for medicine? The medicine Charcoal is prescribe to treat diarrhoea.

Okay, back to Charcoal...Recently a friend of mine introduced me this Bamboo Charcoal product, which can be used to act as de-humidifler and de-odorizer. The package of charcoal also looks cool, unlike the olden days where people would wrap the normal black charcoal in a piece of paper and throw inside the fridge to remove the odour.

Now, with this package of bamboo charcoal, this allows you to place it anywhere you like. You can even place it in your office without any worries. Maybe you can try one?

Typhoon or Strong Gusty Wind?

I have never encountered such a bad traffic jam before. This morning while driving I was stuck in the jam for almost 2hours! Heard over the air that there was some broken tree branches on the road ahead of me, and clearing works were going on which led to the bad traffic jam.

Talking about the fallen tree branches, yesterday night around 1050pm, strong gusty winds were felt across the whole island. The winds were so strong as if we were having typhoon; tree branches broke and rubbish bin were flying all over the places. So far, there isn't any news on yesterday strong winds. Hopefully, there wasn't any serious damages caused by the strong winds.

Tea for good health

My friend told me to enjoy this tea selection Ba Bao Cha八宝茶 and is good for health. Well, I do hope that it can enhance my health and bring my performance to the highest level.

14 Feb 2010 Valentine's Day on First Day of Lunar New Year

Yesterday night I read Chinese Newspaper Wan Bao and there was a report on 14 Feb 2010 Valentine's day on First Day of Lunar New Year. The paper interviewed 2 masters on their views on this date whether it would be an auspicious date to hold wedding or ROM on that day.

Let's see what is the Earthly branches and Heavenly Stem for that day:

Yi 乙 - Heavenly Stem (Yin Wood)
Wei 未 - Earthly Branches (Yin Earth)

A Yin wood sitting on a yin earth. In metaphysics the Five elements, wood attacks earth. In additional to that, this Yin wood is strong during the month of spring. So in other words, earth is under heavily under attack!

So for an important date such as wedding, we would prefer to choose a date whereby Heavenly Stem and Earthly Branches do not clash with each other. Such as water gives birth to wood, or wood gives birth to fire and etc.

So in conclusion 14 Feb 2010 will be just an average date.

Qi Men Dun Jia - Locate missing item

I was about to leave my friend's place when I noticed that his vehicle petrol cap was missing. I asked my friend what happened to the cap? My friend told me that he has forgotten to put back the cap after he had top up petrol at petrol kiosk that afternoon. Then I asked,"Why didn't you go back to the petrol kiosk to search for it?" My friend replied," I have called the petrol kiosk, the station manager will call me back tomorrow."

My friend knew that I am in Qi Men Dun Jia, he asked me whether I could check for him what would the chances of recovering the missing cap? The chart is as follows:

After looking at the chart, the answer was very obvious. My friend would never recover the cap. True enough, my friend sms me the following day, the station manager told my friend that missing cap was not found.

Qi Men Dun Jia - Question

It has been quite some time since I last saw my good friend. I know this good friend of mine would never failed to ask me alot of questions. So I anticipated that she would do the same thing to ask me questions.

Before she could ask me any questions, I looked at the Qi Men Dun Jia chart, and the chart showed that she would ask me about her job.

Qi Men Dun Jia is not magic. It will work if you know how to use it.

Breadbar on 小男人周记 soon.

Still remember I ever talked about unique You tiao 油条 (Fried fritter) from Breadbar in my earlier posting? Now they are open! They are known as Breadbar cafe, located at Novena Square 2.

Recently, 小男人周记 even flimed their programme there. The interview will be aired sometime in May.

See my favourite TV Host 怡玲 is enjoying the food

The two young entrepreneurs with two great TV host.

* Special thanks to Daniel Hui of Breadbar Cafe for the permission to post the photos.

The BIG Day (Part 3)

This auspicious date 16 May 2009 which formed San He 三合 (Three combination) - 酉己丑 at the bottom of the 4 pillars. Is deemed to be auspicious, especially for important date like wedding, sign important documents and collaboration.

Looking at the Tong Sheng on that date, the auspicious timing will be from 7am to 1pm. Getting the right time to carry out the important event will play a part too. So what will be best timing?

7am to 9am?
Or 9am to 11am?
Or 11am to 1pm?

Well, 7am to 9am looks better, reason is because 辰 time form Liu He 六合 Six Combination with 酉 in day pillar. With double combination in the 4 pillar, maybe that will make it as Double Happiness?

Of course, choosing either 9am to 11am or 11am to 1pm time slot still auspicious. But there again, I do use Qi Men Dun Jia to check the chosen auspicious date and time whether it can further enhance the good effect. So given the 3 choices, I will stick on 7am to 9am time slot.

Hot Topic on Tsunami

It seems like the topic on Tsunami is very hot now! Even our local news reported this news in today prime time news slot. So did Channelnewasia They even interviewed a Professor on his view on this. Click on the link to read more about Professor's views.

Well, my friend who is also a "Professor", did his own set of research on this topic after receiving that email. Here is the summary of his findings:

Are Earthquake and Sun eclipse related in any way

1. 27th Jan 2009: Solar eclipse without known Earthquake and Tsunami

2. 28th Dec 2004: No Solar eclipse but with Earthquake and Tsunami

3. 22nd July 2009 : Solar eclipse with or without Earthquake and Tsunami?

His findings may be short. But I do feel that it does make sense...Well, we will know the answer when the time come.

Tsunami on 22 July 2009?

This morning I received a forwarded email from a friend, the email header was 'Tsunami on 22 July 2009?'

Here is a short extract from that forwarded email:

"Hello there. I just wanted 2 let you know that please stay away from the beaches all around in the month of July. There is a prediction that there will be another tsunami hitting on July 22nd. It is also when there will be sun eclipse. Predicted that it is going 2 be really bad and countries like Malaysia (Sabah & Sarawak), Singapore, Maldives, Australia, Mauritius, Si Lanka, India, Indonesia, Philippines are going 2 be badly hit. Please try and stay away from the beaches in July. Better 2 be safe than !

My friend was worried that this Tsunami might come true... He even used his PDA to check whether the sun eclipse would be taking place on that day. And according to his PDA, it showed that it would take place on 22 July 2009, 5pm Singapore time. I did not know that his PDA had such wonderful function.

Anyway, my friend asked me whether I could use any fengshui to verify whether there would be an earthquake on that day?

Well, we can try to use some of the methods to check whether Earthquake or Tsunami will take place or not. But there again, I told my friend... A lot of masters would not even want to do forecast based on such information. Usually, masters would only write or talk about an event that already happened. Why masters would want to risk their "reputation" to make forecast based on such information?

So I told my friend, for the sake of learning, maybe I can consider writing it in my blog. But of course, I will face the risk of getting it wrong. Anyway, who doesn't learn from mistakes? So please do not get me wrong, I am trying to prove anything here in my blog. I am just hoping that with this article on bazi, this can help to generate interest amongst readers.

Okie... here we go. The few methods which we can consider to use is I-ching, Liu Ren, Qi Men Dun Jia and Bazi.

In this case, let's use use bazi to analyse the 4pillar (bazi) for that day. Assuming what was written in that forwarded email is correct, the tsunami will take place on 22 July 2009, 5pm Singapore. The bazi for that day will be as follows:

辛戊辛己
酉辰未丑

The Earthly Branches in the Year Pillar and Month Pillar shows sign of clash. And the Earthly Branches in the Day Pillar and Hour Pillar are combined. Other than that, there is no unusual signs on that bazi based on that time frame, so there is no sign of Tsunami.

But to satisfy our curiosity, whether Tsunami will take place on that day or not. We will take one step further. Let's see what is the bazi going to be like in the next hour time frame. The bazi between 7pm to 11pm on 22 July 2009 will be as follows:

壬戊辛己
戌辰未丑

All the Earthly Branches are earth element. Not only that, 丑未戌 also formed San Xing 三刑, which is regarded as bad clashes in bazi. In this instance, it can be interpreted that possible earth movement. Apart from that, there is no obvious water presence in that bazi. So with such observation, does that mean that that there will be no Tsunami? Just only earthquake?

To verify whether 2004 Tsunami bazi did show sign of clashes and water presence. I did a google search on the 2004 Tsunami date, the date happened to be boxing day, 26 Dec 2004 time 0058hrs. The bazi for that day was:

甲己丙甲
子卯子申

In the above bazi, it shows that there are 3 clashes in the earthly branches 子卯子 and there are water presence, and the water is strong with the combination of 子申. So was it the clashes and strong water presence led to the cause of Tsunami? Well, we will know the answer on 22 July 2009.

Watch out this space

Watch out this space, I will be showing examples on Qi Men Dun Jia. You will discover how Qi Men Dun Jia can be used to help you. Do stay tuned... In the meanwhile, have a great week ahead.

Zi Wei Dou Shu can determine a person's liking

Just a couple of days ago, I was with a group of friends chit-chatting. While we were talking about things that we did last time, my friend suddenly turned around and said, " I prefer a dominating boyfriend!" When I asked her why, she could not give me a satisfactory answer.

So the only way for me to find out the reason would be using Zi Wei Dou Shu to check her chart. When the moment I got home, I quickly switched on my PDA to check her Zi Wei Dou Shu chart. True enough, her star in spouse palace is indeed a "strong" star. And usually people with such strong star in their spouse palace would prefer someone who is dominating.

If you are wondering what type of soul-mate you would have in the near future, maybe you want to consult a Zi Wei Dou Shu master to find out the answer?

Our system may not be applicable in other places. Bazi - day master element is different from 12 Symbolic animals' element

Just a couple of days back, I had a discussion with my friend, J, our coming holiday trip. My friend J who has not been there before, was very excited about this trip. J asked me how much currency to bring there and was it better choice to use credit cards there?

My advise to J was to bring sufficient money for the whole trip. As for credit cards, as far as I could remember that country only accept credit cards that bear with the logo starting with letter "J". Other major credit system cards were not common there.

Then I explained to my friend when come to travelling, never assumed that every country would have the same kind of system as us. Take for example, in our shopping malls, we can easily find toilets in every level of a shopping mall but this may not be applicable in certain countries's shopping malls.

And I remember that there was once when I was in a foreign country, I had a hard time trying to find a rubbish bin to dispose my rubbish. But right here in our land, we are so fortunate that rubbish bins are located everywhere.

After sharing so much on different countries have different system and habits , I would like to share with you how Bazi system is different from the 12 Symbolic animals' element.

Alot of times, my friends would come to me and shared with me which year that they were born and without fail, the element which the animal belonged to. But when I asked for their date of birth and generated their bazi through my PDA, their day master element can be different from the element which the animal they belonged to.

That was how they got mixed up, they thought thay every individual's element could be easily found through some books which only stated the 12 Symbolic animals' element based on the year a person is born. But in the actual fact, we are referring to 2 different systems.

In bazi system, there are known as 4 pillars which are made of Year pillar, Month pillar, Day Pillar and Hour pillar. In each pillar is consisted of Heavenly Stem and Earthly Branches. Thus, a person's element, or also known as Day Master is determined from the day pillar Heavenly Stem instead of year pillar Heavenly Stem. Unlike the 12 Symbolic animals' element, the element is taken from year pillar Heavenly Stem. So there is no right on no wrong on both systems, so long you know which system you are referring to.

Next time, when your friend tells you that he belongs to a Fire Dragon. Maybe you can drop him some hints that he is referring to the 12 Symbolic animals' element and not Bazi system. With that note, I hope that you have gained some insights on bazi system.

A $6 movie and Shinjuku

When was the last time that you catch a movie at the price of S$6? Well, now we can. There is a newly opened cinema in town area which is promoting their newly opened outlet. Now all tickets at that new outlet is selling at S$6 irregardless is a weekday or weekend movie, just pay S$6 to catch any show you want.

I watched the Shinjuku incident in the new cinema. 2 reasons for catching that show, first it was because Jackie Chan acted in this show, second was because the show was filmed in Tokyo -Shinjuku. Japan has been my favourite holiday place, so far I have been there a couple of times.

Usually, when I was in Tokyo, I would opt to stay in Shinjuku. That place is full of night activities, alot of Japanese youngsters love to hang out there and I have to say that some of the activities there were eye-opener for me! Shinjuku is also known as Bu Ye Cheng 不夜城 for its lively activities.

In that movie - Shinjuku incident, alot of places shown in the movie were familiar to me. After watching that movie, I felt like going there again; to visit my friend in Tokyo and eat those delicious Japanese food. Maybe I should start planning my next trip after I have penned off?

A new shopping mall

Visited a newly open shopping mall recently. Judging from the the number of shoppers in the shopping mall, I was wondering was it because Singaporeans did not know about this new place. Or was this place has not officially "launched", and that's explain the small number of shoppers in this mall?

Anyway, this new shopping has very powerful air-conditioner, the temperature in this shopping mall is "freezing" cold! If you like cold temperature, I bet you would love this place.

Apart from the cold temperature, alot of shop units were still under renovation. Looking at the progress of the renovation, most likely the units would be ready in a month's time or so.

Oh yes, there are a lot of restaurants in this shopping mall too! If you want to have a new place to meet your friends for a meal, maybe you can consider this new mall. Okie here are some photos for you to view this new place.

Look at the design of this mall, looks like this place houses alot of *ID's creative ideas?

Qing Ming Festival 清明节

Today marks the commencement of Qing Ming Festival 清明节, this is the time Chinese would visit and pay repects at their ancestors' tomb and at the same time, clear the weeds around their ancerstors' tomb. Usually our practise here would be offering of food and burning of joss papers.
This year, Qing Ming Festival comes slightly earlier, in fact is one day earlier. Or to be exact is 26minutes before the clock strikes midnight on today 4 Apr 2009.
