14 Feb 2010 Valentine's Day on First Day of Lunar New Year

Yesterday night I read Chinese Newspaper Wan Bao and there was a report on 14 Feb 2010 Valentine's day on First Day of Lunar New Year. The paper interviewed 2 masters on their views on this date whether it would be an auspicious date to hold wedding or ROM on that day.

Let's see what is the Earthly branches and Heavenly Stem for that day:

Yi 乙 - Heavenly Stem (Yin Wood)
Wei 未 - Earthly Branches (Yin Earth)

A Yin wood sitting on a yin earth. In metaphysics the Five elements, wood attacks earth. In additional to that, this Yin wood is strong during the month of spring. So in other words, earth is under heavily under attack!

So for an important date such as wedding, we would prefer to choose a date whereby Heavenly Stem and Earthly Branches do not clash with each other. Such as water gives birth to wood, or wood gives birth to fire and etc.

So in conclusion 14 Feb 2010 will be just an average date.
