Blow hole

My friend brought to this place, where nature has created a hole on the rock, near Wollongong. Every time when the wave gushed through the hole, it created a loud sound, it was amazing! By looking at the wave thrown up, you could imagine how powerful the waves were.

Beautiful sunrise, with a lovely clouds. Ideal place for romance?

Road leading to Lighthouse!

Hard to believe, is winter now. Yet I am wearing just one Polo Shirt without any winter wear. Trying to act "strong".

Freedom!

Guess what is this?

Is that a cannon pointing towards the sky

Fengshui Tree?

My friend told me that there was a fengshui tree in Sydney Chinatown. Since Fengshui has been my interest, I definitely would not miss out such an opportunity to find out this fengshui tree.

The tree was not difficult to find, it was standing right in front of a bank, just across the road is the famous Paddy Market.

The famous Paddy Market, which is open on Thurs, Fri, Sat and Sun only. Closed on Monday till Wednesday.

Standing right at the bottom of the tree, I observed the tree, trying to figure out what made my friend said that was a fengshui tree. There was no leaves in the tree, it was a bare tree trunk except certain portions were coated with golden substance, which I could not figure what they were.

And if you have noticed closely on the above photo, you could actually see little water droplets dripping from one of the tree branches. It was something unique and I was trying to figure how did the water get up to the top and start dripping? I wonder whether there was a water pump that pushed the water to the top?

At the bottom of the tree, there was a signboard that explain what is this tree about.

A closer look on those explaination notes. So is this a fengshui tree?

One World One Dream

Just finished watching the Beijing Olympics Opening Ceremony, it was wonderful opening ceremony with lot of surprises and firework! On top of that, the historical performances were fantastic! The colourful costumes and performance by the kids really caught my attention. How I wished I could join them at the bird's nest!
A big round of applause to the organising committee for making such a successful ceremony.

River

My friend asked me,"Did you notice in Australia, there will be river in every state?"

I paused for a while. Then I replied," Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth have river, but I cannot recall whether Adelaide has one or not?"

My friend answered me," Yes there is one in Adelaide." It was a shame that I could not remember Adelaide river even though I have been to Adelaide twice! The only 2 state that I could not answer were Tasmania and Canberra as I have not been to those places yet. But I was quite sure there wasn't any river in Northern Territory.

Anyway, the reason why rivers can be found in those places is because river was a form of transportation in the olden days. As for now, these rivers are still use for transportation. There are boats that are used to ferry people. In Brisbane, there have Citycat and I just found out that Sydney have rivercat! See photo.

Apartment in Wollongong

I heard the weather forecast for Wollongong would be much colder than Sydney City, at least by 5 Deg C difference before I came here. I was mentally prepared for the cold temperature but when I entered this apartment in Wollongong, I felt so warm. The interior of the apartment is nicely decorated, I simply love this apartment. Is so beautiful!

There are 2 rooms in this apartment, I slept in one of the rooms, without turning on the heater, and I did not feel cold at all! This apartment is really cozy!

Simple kitchen. Just nice for single.

Look at the balcony, is so big! The area is almost as big as the interior area! Look like can do BBQ during summer time. Cool. Looking forward.

Wollongong

The journey from Sydney to Wollongong is approximately 1hr 15min by car. Driving to Wollongong was not difficult. Along the way, there was one long stretch of Suburb area to clear first before hitting the highway. Once in the highway, the journey to Wollongong was much faster.

I even visited the temple in Wollongong, my friend told me that temple was one of the biggest in Sydney.

Spoke to the nun in the temple, she asked me which country did I come from. I replied her that I was from Singapore. Then she shared with me that Singaporean celebrate Hungry Ghost festival during Lunar Seventh Month. To them, lunar seventh month is an auspicious month to "recruit" nuns.
