Tip of the day - How to improve your wealth

To improve your wealth, you can activate your wealth in your house. To locate your wealth sector in your residence, you can use Flying star method to find the current wealth star, in this instance is flying star 8.

If you have no idea on flying star method, there is another easier method to locate your wealth sector. The corner diagonally from your main door will be the wealth sector.

Usually, masters will advise using fish tank or water feature to activate the wealth sector. For fish tank application, the number of fishes will be 7 and in the following combination :1 different (colour) fish, the remaining 6 fishes having the same colour or breed. The reason behind this combination is because 1 and 6 form the He-Tu (River Map) which means water.

So if you really want to see how your wealth improve, do not hesitate to consult a Fengshui Master for advise. Good luck!

Disclaimer : The above article is meant for reference only. Please consult a professional Fengshui master for proper guidance and advise to activate your weath sector.

Early request

I know is pretty early to talk about next year Chinese New Year. However, there are requests asking me to advise the most auspicious dates to commence work.

Here we go, the auspicious dates :

3rd lunar day - 16 Feb 2010 Tue (For those born in year of Rabbit, please avoid this date)

6th lunar day - 19 Feb 2010 Fri (For those born in year of Horse, please avoid this date)

9th lunar day - 22 Feb 2010 Mon (For those born in year of Rooster, please avoid this date)

If you were to ask me which is the best date to pick? Personally, I will pick 19 Feb 2009 or 22 Feb 2009 to commence work. Of course, this is based on assumption that you have abundance of annual leave and the luxury to clear.

And most likely I will commence my work on 22 Feb 2009 as I am planning something different for my next Chinese New Year celebration. I hope that I can celebrate my CNY in a different country. Anyway, is still early to say anything now. So remember to stay tuned in my blog if you want to know where I will be heading.

Cheers and Merry Christmas to you!

22 Dec 2009 Dong Zhi 冬至 - Winter Solstics

Tomorrow will mark Dong Zhi 冬至 - Winter Solstics. Which means that tomorrow, perhaps in different part of the world, some of you may experience the shortest daylight and some may experience the longest night! However, here in Singapore, as we get to enjoy Sunshine throughout the whole year, most probably, we may not get to notice such difference.

Only in places where there are 4 seasons such as winters and summer, chances of experiencing the difference in term of the daylight and night will be much obvious.

Dong Zhi 冬至 - Winter Solstics, also mark another important chapter in Qi Men Dun Jia 奇门遁甲. During this period, the energy flow - Negative Energy (Yin Dun 阴盾) will change to Positive Energy (Yang Dun 阳盾), thus the arrangement of Eight Gods (Ba Shen 八神) and Three Noblemen & Six Contingents (San Qi Liu Yi 三奇六仪) will be placed differently.

This is one of the important key points in Qi Men Dun Jia 奇门遁甲,Negative Energy (Yin Dun 阴盾) and Positive Energy (Yang Dun 阳盾) can affect the final Qi Men Dun Jia chart. So if you are plotting Qi Men Dun Jia 奇门遁甲 chart, extra attention is required during this period.

Last but not least, would like to wish everybody a Happy Dong Zhi. This is also the time to eat Tang Yuan 汤圆。Enjoy!

A stroll at Changi Point

This morning, I took a stroll at Changi Point. It has been long time since I was there, and all I could remember the last time (more than ten years ago!) I was there to take a ferry to Ubin.

I almost could not recognise the changes at Changi Point. Now, they even have ferry terminal for passengers to embark and disembark. It used to be just stairs to the boats and back then ferry fare was just merely a dollar per trip. The present fare to Ubin is S$2.50 per trip.

Here are some photos for you to view....enjoy!

Welcome to Changi Point

Speedboat
Background is the new ferry terminal.

Changi Point is near to the Airport, every now and then, you get to see aeroplanes taking off.

Guess who I spotted at Changi Point? I did not expect myself to see "STAR" on a Sunday morning! Artists from Little Nonya and of course, the current serial "Together".

Another artist.

Using numbers to find out your age

Received one interesting email that explained how to use numbers to find out your age.

1. Select any number from 0 to 9

2. Multiply the selected number by 2

3. Add 5 to answer above

4. Then multiply by 50

5. Add 1759

6. Use the answer above, minus off your year of birth (e.g 1980)

The last 2 digit of the final answer is your age. Have fun!

Credit goes to the person who discovered this method. Since we touched on the topic numbers, in Fengshui Flying Star method, numbers are also used to determine the good energy and bad energy. However, in Flying Star method only 1 to 9 are used.

To find out more about Flying Star numbers do continue to stay tuned in this blog. I may post more information soon.

Using colour to forecast an outcome of an event

My master who taught Fengshui ever explained to me, colours could be used to forecast an outcome of an event. Just by looking at the colour of shirts that the contestants worn, he could easily determine the "fate" of the contestants. I thought that was rather impressive and remember that valueable lesson.

Recently, I was asked to attend Futsal (indoor soccer) tournament. Before the match began, I looked at both teams. Team A worn black, while Team B worn orange. In my heart, I knew that Team B would be the winner. True enough, Team B won the game. So it is true that colour can forecase an outcome? Well, for you to find out more.

Now, talking about colour, here is the song "Colour of the wind" by Vanessa Williams from Youtube. Enjoy!

Shanghai, China

Yes, your eye is not playing trick. That is Metro logo, our Singapore Metro in Shanghai! I was attracted to this big billboard during my recent trip in Shanghai. I like the creativity of the building design, which is shaped like a dome. On top of that, the dome is lit up by lights.

Of course, I did not miss the opportunity to shop inside this shopping mall. I was surprised to see alot of familiar local names inside this shopping mall. Like the famous Bread Talk, Food Republic and many more.... For the first time in a foreign country, I felt like I was like shopping in a "local ambience", I must admit that the feeling was good. For Singaporeans who are stationed in Shanghai and if they miss home, maybe they can shop here. This may help them to feel that they are just one step closer to home.

Cosplay

Didn't know that our youths here in Singapore love Cosplay so much. Was rather surprised to see such a big group of them at Suntec on last weekend. In fact, I must say that our cosplay here are as good as those cosplay which I saw in Japan, Tokyo-Harajuku.

Guess the youths must have spent a bomb on those costumes. Check this one out... With big wings!

They were happily posing. Actually, such events should be encouraged, after all is healthy event. At least, the youth are pursuing their dreams...

Photographers are everywhere, busy taking photos.

This is the best! With big wings.... really have to salute to this young man. He must have spent a bomb on these wings... wondering how is he going to manage with such big wings... Will he get the chance to demonstrate how he flies?

Cosplay in Harajuku, only on every sundays.

Liu Li 琉璃

Liu Li (Crystal) 琉璃 was quite unheard of, until recently fengshui products that are made of Liu Li are getting popular here in our local market. But the history of Liu Li can be traced back as far as 2000 years back. It was then considered as priceless treasure back in the olden days, this was due to the secret of making of Liu Li. Back then, only a handful of people knew the process of making Liu Li and the secret of making them was well-kept. Thus, making Liu Li as priceless treasure.
In China, Liu Li is considered as one of the popular Art items besides Silver and Gold, Jade, Bronze, and Ceramics. And in certain religion, they believe that using Liu Li can help to stay healthy. With such good background on Liu Li, having Liu Li as fengshui products should make them even better.
As such, fengshui products that are made of Liu Li are moulded to the shapes that resembled the commonly used fengshui products. To find out more about fengshui Liu Li products, you can view this www.fsliuli.blogspot.com

Is 2 Deg C now

Just curious what is the temperature going to be like over at China. A quick check on my iPhone, it shows that temperature over there now is 2 Deg C. Gosh...this is indeed cold. To think I was there a week ago, the temperature back then was like 20 plus Deg C, and now it has dropped to 2 Deg C! This is too extreme!

Hope that temperature will not drop any further. Cheers!

Xitang - Mission Impossible III

Welcome to Xitang, the ancient water town in Jiashan County, Zhejiang province, China. This is the place which Mission Impossible III was filmed.

I had been wanted to visit this place after watching the Mission Impossible III movie. Finally, I had the chance to visit this ancient water town, just like other water towns, this place was packed with tourists from over all the places, it was crowd.

And due to the large crowd, I did not have the chance to complete touring the whole water town, Xitang. Unlike my the previous trip to Zhou Zhuang, I had completed the whole water town! Nevertheless, one of these days, I may re-visit this place, Xitang, again.

Anyway, here are some of the photos which I took during my visit. Enjoy!

Xitang is rather "modern" despite the fact that this place is an ancient water town, they have bar and cafe along the whole stretch of old houses. And alot of places are air-conditioned too! Great place to stay for a night!

Row, row the boat. The boat ride here require you to put on PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) - float.

The button museum - guess how buttons were made during the olden days?

Enjoy Xitang - Fenhu beer. Nice beer!

Design or fengshui purpose?

This is something interesting spotted during my last trip in China. A round designed feature right in front of a building entrance. Is this just a design or for fengshui purpose?

Missed the winter feeling

Finally, I have the time to blog. It has been more than a week since I last updated my blog. Well, I was away to China last weekend to do my fengshui research there. Prior to my visit, my friend told me to bring more winter wears as the temperature was going down to single digit Deg C!

Initially, I was quite hesitate to bring in more clothings as I like winter - the cold feeling, and I had survived from 6 Deg C with just only a plain T-shirt when I was in Sydney. But there again, the temperature in China seems to be rather different from other places. And I remember last year when I was in China - Beijing, the temperature was like more than 10 Deg C but there I was, high up in the Great Wall of China, feeling very cold. And because of that Beijing experience, I decided to bring one extra clothing to keep myself warm for my last trip to China.

Maybe the weather knew that I was coming, the weather became so good that even the locals complaint that it was hot during my 4 day stay. And the funny thing is, the weather took a change when I was about to leave. It started to rain when I was in the airport, the weather became so bad that I was stranded on board (plane) for more than an hour before the plane was allowed to take off.

Maybe I brought the "warmth" there and I took it away with me when I left. At this point of writing, according to the weather reported in Yahoo Weather forecast, the temperature has dropped to 6 Deg C again! Gosh, I miss the chance to enjoy the winter feeling. Maybe I should go back there to have fun in winter? Really miss winter.

High forehead

I ever heard people commented that having high forehead is a good sign, it shows that person who high forehead will either a hold high position or someone who can command. But wait, not everybody is suitable to have high forehead. For example, ladies should not have high forehead! In face reading, it is believed that ladies who have high forehead may not have good relationship with their spouses.

But there again, I need to stress that we cannot judge a person by looking at the forehead and start to say that person will command a high position if he is a gentleman and as for ladies, they will not have good relationship. There are other factors to consider too!

So next time, when you see a person who have high forehead, is just an indication that he may hold high position or someone who can command.

The Kelong Experience - Kukup

It has been long time since I last visited this place - Kukup. I guess my last visit was sometime back last year or so. Still remember I wrote an article on Weekend Getaway in September? I mentioned that there are many resorts in Kukup which one could book and stay for a night?

Finally I have my chance to come back here again. To visit this nice quiet fishing village and keep myself away from our busy city lifestyle for a short while.

Here are some of the photos during my stay there.

One of the resorts which you can find in kukup.

Waiting for my boat to come.

The new jetty, this jetty was not even built when I was there last year.

The blue floating platforms. Waiting to embark.

Welcome to Kelong. The fishing farm.

Fishes saying hello to me?

Have you been to Kelong before?

The challenging platform - got to watch out for your steps, one wrong step, one will end up swimming with the fishes!

Is feeding time - Look at the fishes, they were hunger for food.

This is a cute dog, she was supervising the visitors. Just to make sure none of us jump into the water.

One of the biggest fishes in the fish farm. According to the boss of the fish farm, this fish is easily weighted more than 10kg!!

A closer look on the big fish.

Time to leave the kelong. If you have not been to kelong before, I strongly you should try to visit one for at least once. Is a different kind of experience.

Will the missing item be recovered?

Yesterday evening, someone wanted to know whether the missing item can be recovered? Based on the time that person who wanted to know the answer, the Qi Men Dun Jia chart shown was possible and the missing item could be recovered soon.

Hope to hear the good news soon.

Any chance?

A couple of days ago, someone approached me and asked what were his chances of hearing the *good news soon?

I Knew the person was born in which year, so I did a quick check on the chart using his year of birth. The chart showed negative result. So I told the person that he was unlikely to hear any good news.

* The purpose of this posting is for learning purpose. For privacy reason, I will not disclose the actual question asked.

This is called LOVE?

A Blind Love is to love someone without realising his / her shortcomings in the beginning, only start to regret when learnt his / her shortcomings at later stage of the relationship.

A True Love is to accept all his / her shortcomings regardless how long you have known your partner. And the most important thing is to love him / her even more if you happen to know more of his / her shortcomings.

Usually when relationships fail, one will tend to push the fault to another party. And the cause of failed relationship is usually due to Blind Love. So in order to prevent a failed relationship to happen, what you can do is to ask yourself the two sentences above.

So if you think you are ready for relationship, which one do you belong to?

Good luck!

Ladies listen up...If you want a blissful marriage....

Ladies listen up.....If you want a blissful marriage, you need to find a spouse who is at least 5 years senior than you! Yes, I heard this piece of news from the air, our local radio station. The 2 deejays were talking about this "research" which was carried out by an European Professor.

To verify this "theory", both deejays even conducted their own "mini" poll, they invited listeners to call them or sms them their views. And guess what? From the call-ups, it seemed like happily married couples indeed have age gap between them, and the biggest age gap difference among the call-ups was 15 years. So it seems like in order to enjoy such a blissful marriage, you really need to find someone who is much older than you?

Now, that's make me wonder whether the ladies' bazi have Qi Sha 七杀 (Seven killing)? It is believed that ladies who have Qi Sha 七杀 (Seven killing) in their bazi, chances of them getting married to an older spouse (who is at least 6 years older) are higher.

And using Zi Wei Dou Shu, we can check their spouse palace for such indication of having an age difference spouse. In my earlier posting, I wrote an article of using Zi Wei Dou Shu to find such hint in a lady's ming pan (Life chart).

To wrap up this posting, to all those happily married couples, maybe you would like to email me at great_ocean96@yahoo.com.sg to share with me your experience?

Cheers to all happily married couples and cheers to all ladies if you want a blissful marriage.

I learnt from travelling

A friend asked me why would I want to visit a country for more than once? I replied, " I learnt something new from my trips and it helped in my course of work." Yes, you do not hear me wrongly, travelling help me to learn. Sometimes, I do get new inspirations from such trips!

Take for example my recently visit to Shanghai, I went to Chamate for my dinner. They provide good service, they have waitress from the main entrance to bring me to my table and that's not all! On top of the table, they have this device which have few button selections for me to press for Order, Water, Bill or even cancel my order. So this save me for waving my hands to catch the waitress' attention. This is very helpful especially when the restaurant is packed with customers.

Even though this device is not something new to me, as I have seen it when I was in Sydney last year. But the concept of using this device with few button selections is good as this will cut down at least one trip for the waitress. Thus, this will definitely help to improve the efficiency of their service.
