Japan Culture (Part 3)

The second sighting was in Nara, in the famous Todai-ji Temple (Biggest Buddha in Japan), I saw alot of kids went under this building pillar. The kid would go in from one side of the pillar and crawl to the other side of the pillar and exit from there.

In my heart, I knew that was a form of blessing. A friend who had been to that temple told me that the size of the hole in the pillar was exactly the same size as Big Buddha Statue nose! And I was told that people who went under this hole would be blessed from Big Buddha.

Guess I would have to do it next time when I visit Nara again.
